1.1 must have passed Biology or Biological Sciences and chemistry in KCSE at a minimum grade of C+. In addition a student must have passed maths or physics / Physical Science with a minimum grade of C.
or
1.2 have a minimum of 2 principal passes in science subjects in Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE),
or
1.3 have a diploma in relevant science subjects and with at least a credit pass from an Institution recognized by the University Senate,
or
1.4 have a diploma in Applied Sciences with at least a credit pass in relevant science subjects from an Institution recognized by the University Senate,
or
1.5 have any other qualifications accepted by the University Senate as equivalent to 1.1 to 1.4.
Admission Requirements:-

To be eligible for admission, candidates must satisfy the minimum entry requirements as set out by Egerton University Statute
In addition, candidates must have passed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education or its equivalent with a minimum grade as follows:-

Chemistry B or Physical Science B+
Physics B or Physical Science B+
Mathematics C+
Biology B or Biological Science B+

Alternatively, candidates with the following minimum A level passes will be considered-principal pass in each of the following subjects: Chemistry; Physics; Biology; Mathematics.

Have any other qualifications accepted by Egerton University Senate as equivalent.

Entry requirements.
(i) Mean Grade C+ at K.C.S.E and a minimum grade of C in Biology and Chemistry; OR

(ii) KACE or equivalent with at least two principal passes in any two subjects plus a credit pass in Biology and Chemistry at KCE; OR

(iii) KCSE mean grade C at KCSE plus a Diploma in Biological Sciences with a credit or its equivalent from an institution recognized by the senate plus a C in Mathematics and English; OR

(iv) Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from an institution recognized by Senate, plus C+ at KCSE or credit pass in Chemistry or Biology at KCE.

Course duration.
Four years.
At least a C+ (plus) in KCSE and the following grades in the subjects listed below at KSCE or its equivalent: Biology/Biological Sciences B (plain), Chemistry/Physical Sciences B (plain), Mathematics or Physics C+ (plus) OR
KACE with a principal pass in Biology and Chemistry, and a subsidiary pass in Mathematics or Physics OR
Be a holder of a Diploma with at least a credit pass in Biochemistry, Science Laboratory, Animal Health, Agriculture, Medical Laboratory Technology or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Applied Biology from a recognized institution by the University and at least a C plain in KCSE.
A minimum mean grade of C+ at KCSE with B- in Chemistry, Biology (C+), Mathematics (C+) C (Plain) in any group IV subjects, OR
“A” level with 2 principal passes in Chemistry and Biology. Subs in Mathematics with C (Plain) in Physics at “O” level, OR
KNEC Diploma in Science/Applied or its equivalent from recognized institution. (Those with Credit/Distinction may be admitted to 2nd Year, pass 1st year, HND Credit 3rd year and pass 2nd year.

KCSE Mean grade of C+ (plus) with B- (minus) in Chemistry, C+ (plus) Biology, Mathematics and C (plain) in Physics or Geography,

OR

'A' level with 2 principal passes in chemistry and biology subsidiary in Mathematics with C (plain) in physics at “O” level,

OR

KNEC Diploma in Science/Applies Science or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Mean grade of C+ at KCSE or equivalent and have a minimum grade of C+ in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics or B- in Physical Sciences OR
Mean grade C (Plain) at KCSE with credit pass in relevant Diploma from a recognized institution.
