The applicant must be Kenya registered Community Health Nurse or Kenya registered Nurse/ Midwife from a recognized institution. The diploma holder must also have either of the following;
- KCSE minimum Grade of C Plain
- KCE/ EACE Division II or principal and subsidiary pass, in science subjects
- KCE/EACE Division III plus Certificate in Nursing
Entry Requirements

Have attained Division II in KCE or an aggregate C (plain) in KCSE, with C in: Biology/ Biological Sciences; English or Kiswahili; Mathematics or Chemistry/ Physics or Physical Sciences,

a Diploma in Community Health Nursing from a recognized medical training institution, registration by the NCK,

and 2-years working experience.

a statement from their principals to proof that their
scores in science subjects and overall qualifications
meet the minimum degree entry requirements

Graduation requirements
- Student shall be required to take and pass all scheduled courses within the stipulated period.

This is a non-resident 3 year course that enables all cadres of diploma nurses i.e. those with KRN, KRCHN, KRM or KRPN qualifications to upgrade to the level of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSCN).

Course Entry Requirements:
A diploma in Nursing KRCHN, KRN and KRM) or its equivalent from a recognised institution
A mean grade of C plain in KCSE or its equivalent with a C plain in English or Kiswahili.
KCE/EACE Division II plus a Diploma in nursing and a pass in English or Kiswahili
A minimum of 2 years working experience in a relevant setting after attainment of the Diploma in Nursing
A valid Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK) License
Minimum Admission Requirements:-

- KCSE mean grade C+ (plus). Cluster subjects: C+ in Biology or Biological Sciences, Chemistry, English/Kiswahili,
Mathematics/Physics
OR
- Kenya Certificate of Education(KCE) / East Africa Certificate of Education (EACE) examinations Division II with Credits Pass in
Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science, English or Kiswahili, Mathematics or Physics/Physical Sciences
OR
- Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) with Principal Pass in Biology and Chemistry and a Subsidiary Pass or
equivalent qualifications.

Academic requirements
- Applicants are required to have attained a B- in biology or biological sciences,a C- in maths and chemistry or physical science,also the students scored a C- either of the alternatives below:
(a)C- in physics,English/kiswahili
(b)C- in agriculture/geography,English/kiswahili or
- Hold a KACE certificate with two principle pass in sciences,one being biology or
- Hold a relevant diploma from a recognized institution or
- Be in possession of a higher diploma with a credit pass or
- Any other qualifications recognized by the university senate
