the information systems game? [6 Marks]
c) Give three motivations for IS development projects? [6 Marks]
d) Assume you are an Information Systems Project Manager. Describe six

that defines a set of activities, methods, best practices, deliverables, and automated tools that
system developers and project managers are to use to develop and maintain information
systems and software. However there other alternative routes to a methodology. Name such

a) Differentiate between systems analysis and systems design. [4 Marks]
b) Using a diagram, describe the two phases of an information system lifecycle. [4 Marks]
c) The development phase of an information system has seven stages. Describe all of them in the
order in which they should occurs [7 Marks]
d) Information systems development activities are usually supported. Such support includes
CASE tools. Describe what CASE is, explaining the various types of support it provides.

a) Differentiate between functional and non-functional requirements [4 Marks]
b) Suppose you are charged with the responsibility of gathering the requirements for an IS. State
and explain four requirements discovery techniques that you would use explaining their

c) A feasibility study is a short focused study aimed at establishing the practicability of Systems
development projects. Describe four feasibility tests that must be undertaken before the
initiation of the project. [8 Marks]

b) State and explain six benefits of prototyping [6 Marks]
c) You are asked to develop a library management information system, the system contains only
the following information:

number;
C. Book lending and returning information including lending date and return date.
