Cyber-bullying is using repeatedly the technology which is related to communication and information with the intention of harming someone else. The most common cases of cyber-bullying are when people use the internet or mobile phones to send or even post words or pictures that can make someone else very unhappy. Those engaged in cyber-bullying have the following characteristics.1) They look for too much information.They look for too much information about the people whom they intend to victimize in cyber-bullying. This is what allows them to find a weak spot in your life, something that you would really regret if people knew about. They then take whatever information it is that you have been hiding from the world about yourself and they make it very public. They could gather this information online or off line, they might even know where you live by tracing your IP address.2) Making false accusations.Those who are involved in cyber-bullying not only share your private life with the rest of the world, but they also share a lot of false information about you or even about those around you. The worst part is that sometimes, they present the information in such a way that it looks so believable and true and thus it totally ruins your reputation.3) Pretending to be the victims.Sometimes, the people who are responsible for the cyber bullying pretend that they are the ones who are the victims of the cyber-bullying. This just confuses those after the person responsible for the cyber bullying.4) Ordering things.Those involved in the cyber bullying sometimes order things online in the name of their victims. Some of things that they order are very embarrassing thus it could ruin their victims’ reputations.5) Encouraging others to bully the victim.Sometimes, those who take part in cyber bullying do things that encourage other people to bully you like trying to make other people to hate you so that they can also make your life miserable.6) Damaging the victims’ software.They even try to destroy and alter the data that you have stored in your computer by sending viruses to your computer. This is one of the worst cases of cyber bullying. I find it to be the most sadistic because you might lose some very important files and documents which you have stored in your computer.All these are some of the many things done by those who take part in cyber bullying. I think that I have experienced many cases of cyber bullying. There are some very embarrassing pictures of me on Facebook which I have no idea how they got there. But, I cannot complain because they only make me even more popular among my peers.
