(b)K.A.C.E qualifications with at least three principal passes of nine
points and above in each of the subjects below:

(c)A diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized
institution with a credit pass.

Diploma holders shall be admitted in the second year of study
whereas those with Higher National Diploma shall be admitted in
the third year of study.

BSc. in Telecommunication and Information engineering is a discipline that combines the principles of electrical and electronics, computer science and information technology. The course is structured to equip the knowledge, design techniques and insight needed for a competent telecommunication engineer at global level. The course covers : - transmission lines, cellular communication, data communication, satellite communication, optical communication, digital communication, telephony systems, waveguide systems, microprocessors, broadcast engineering, analogue and digital systems. The practical proficiency is achieved through extensive laboratory training, seminars, engineering projects, workshop practice, industrial visits and industrial attachment.

- Applicants are required to hold
any of the qualifications below:
(a)A minimum of C+ in KCSE with
C+ in each of the subjects below:
(i)Physics
(ii)Maths
(iii)Chemistry/physical science
(iv)Biology/biological science or
any of the group III,IV or V subjects.
(b)A diploma in electrical engineering and
telecommunications engineering from multimedia
university of Kenya.
(c)KNEC diploma or diploma in electrical/telecommunications engineering from
a recognized institution.
