Course requirements
- To qualify,one should
possess either of the qualifications
below:
(a)A minimum of a C+ in KCSE or its equivalent
(b)Advanced Diploma in a Relevant field, applicant must have an ordinary diploma from a recognized institution
(c) A minimum of a C in KCSE plus a pre-university with a mean of C+ and above
(d)Diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
(e)Advanced Certificate of Education GCE or A-levels applicants must have at least 2 principal passes and one subsidiary pass or its equivalent and must have passed in subjects related to geography.
Applicants from non-English speaking countries shall be required to pass a special entrance exam set by the university and demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English

Course Duration: 4 years; Mature entry diploma holders and mature entry students may join the program at second year; Holder of higher national diploma may join at third year.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
One must have attained minimum qualification for admission into a B.A degree programme in the public universities in Kenya, or its equivalent. In addition, one is required to:
- Have obtained a minimum of a Grade C+ in Geography and C in Mathematics and any of Group II courses at Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) level or 2 principles (one of which should be in geography) and 2 subsidiaries at A level and should have at least three years or relevant working experience in a recognized field. or
- Have a Diploma and/or also have a Higher National diploma in a related subject (with distinction or credit) from a recognized institution.
