The specialty involves the study of the
earth and the atmosphere.The program
tackles chemical composition of rocks,
physical features and factors affecting
weather and climate.
Course requirements
- To qualify,one should
possess either of the qualifications
below:
(a)A minimum of a C+ in KCSE or its equivalent
(b)Advanced Diploma in a Relevant field, applicant must have an ordinary diploma from a recognized institution
(c) A minimum of a C in KCSE plus a pre-university with a mean of C+ and above
(d)Diploma or professional certificate in a relevant discipline from an institution recognized by the University Senate.
(e)Advanced Certificate of Education GCE or A-levels applicants must have at least 2 principal passes and one subsidiary pass or its equivalent and must have passed in subjects related to geography.
Applicants from non-English speaking countries shall be required to pass a special entrance exam set by the university and demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English
