QUESTION 1 (40 marks)

a) With the help of examples explain the difference between wired connectivity and
wireless connectivity. (3 Marks)

b) Describe the history of Internet? (5marks)

c) Explain any six applications of multimedia. (3Marks)

d) Highlight any six drawing and painting software. (3 Marks)

e) Discuss the power of sound between MIDI vs Digital Audio. (4 Marks)

f) Distinguish between Moderated and Unmoderated list. (2 Marks)

In retail sales, management needs to know the average inventory figure and the
turnover of merchandise. Write a program in Visual Basic that allows the user to enter the beginning
inventory, the ending inventory, the cost of goods sold and also display average inventory and
turnover ratio. (8 Marks)
Form: Include labeled text boxes for the beginning inventory, the cost of goods sold.
Include the command buttons for Calculate, Clear, Print Form, and Exit.

The formulas for the calculations are:

Average inventory=(Beginning inventory + Ending inventory)

Turnover=Cost of goods sold/Average inventory

Note: The average inventory is expressed in dollars; the turnover is the number of times the inventory
turns over.
