Course requirements
- Applicants must have scored a B- in biology or biological sciences,
C- in maths and a C- in physical science or chemistry.
Students must have passed in any one subject from any alternatives
below.
(i)Alternative A
C- in physics and a C- in kiswahili/English

(ii)Alternative B
C- in agriculture/geography and a C- in kiswahili/English or

score two principal passes in sciences subjects in Kenya
Advanced certificate of Education one of which must be biology or
hold a relevant diploma or higher diploma from a recognized institution or
have any other qualifications accepted by the senate.

- The program takes a minimum of four years

Those applying for the course above are expected to have any of the qualifications below:
(a) A mean grade of C+ at KCSE with C+ in:
(i) Chemistry or Physical Sciences.

(ii) Biology or Biological Sciences.

In addition, they must have scored C in Physics or Mathematics and C in English or Kiswahili.


(b) Two principal passes in science subjects in Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE), one of which must be Biology or Biological Sciences.

(c) A Diploma/ Higher National Diploma in relevant field from a recognized institution.

Eight semesters.

(a) A mean grade of C+ at KCSE with C+ in Biology and Chemistry. OR

(b) A Diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

(c) Admission shall also be granted to holders of a Higher National Diploma.
