INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
This paper contains TWO alternatives A and B.
Each alternative has two options. Choose only ONE option from any ONE alternative.
This question paper will be given to you One hour before the start of the examination to enable you to
make your choice from the alternatives. During this one hour, you are allowed to make sketches on
the A4 papers provided to help you decide on your choice.
The use of rulers and other mechanical means is forbidden in alternative A but is allowed in
alternative B.
Clearly write your Name, Index number, the alternative and the number of option chosen in that order
on the management – how corner of unpainted 4cm wide margin running across the bottom of the
paper.
At the end of the examination do not roll or fold your finished work
This paper consists of 2 printed pages.

ALTERNATIVE A
EITHER:
1. Draw a group of men and women involved in a heated debate over the “Katiba” under a shade of
a tree.
They seem not to agree on whether to vote for “YES” or “NO” during the referendum
OR
2. Draw an old lady seated outside a hut, with her are two young ladies accompanied with their
children and this family seems to be having a candid talk over a family issue, the mood exhibited
is jovial and children are feeling at home.
ALTERNATIVE B
EITHER:
3. The “Tuchangamke Vijana Leo” group has organized a sports extravaganza at Kisumu Sports
ground on 5/6/2010 starting from 9.00am to 5:00pm. The activities of the day include;
Football, Netball, Rugby and Swimming.
This group would like you to design for them a poster in NOT more than three colours on a size
A2 paper and include a logo gramme of the group
OR
4. “STEP ON SHOE COMPANY” deals with female shoes of a modern trendy girl.
The company would like you to design for them the following Graphic Facilities.
i) the monogramme of the company on an A4 size paper
2) The logogramme of the company in three colours with an illustration on an A4 size paper
3) Apply the logogramme on a carrier bag on an A4 size paper in 3 colours.
NOTE: All the Art works for question 4 to be done on an A2 size paper with Appropriate
measurements.
