Many people will actually turn up their noses at the sight of the vegetable on their plate. Most people dislike the cabbage not knowing that cabbage has a high nutritional value, and is rich in medicinal properties. Some of the properties of the cabbage are:

(a). They are loaded with vitamin C.
- It helps in burning of fat.
(b). Good source vitamin A.
- Is essential for the protection of the skin and eyes.
(c). Sufficient amount of vitamin B.
- It helps sustain the veracity of nerve endings and boosts energy
(d). Also rich in sulphur.
- Is instrumental in containing infections and fastening healing of wounds.
(e). Cabbage contains nutrients that boost the immune system's ability to produce antibodies.
(f). It also contains a specialized, naturally occurring, nitrogenous compound known as indoles, which is known to lower the risk of various forms of cancer.
(g). The juice of fresh raw cabbage has been proven to speed up the healing of mouth and stomach ulcers.
(h). Also fresh cabbage juice relieves symptoms of digestive problems, asthma and bronchitis also headaches.
(i). It also contains high amounts of sulforaphane, a substance that works by stimulating the production of glutathione. It is the body's most important internally produced antioxidant, which is key in liver detoxification.

Note that, only wash cabbage when you are ready to use it. Cook it lightly as possible to preserve all nutrients.
