Healthy breakfast ideas that take the shortest time possible

When you have lots of things to do in the morning, time is never on your side. While a healthy breakfast may be at the top of your priority list, you may not really have sufficient time to prepare it. Don''t settle for unhealthy fast food or skip that important meal either. There is still ways of making a hearty breakfast within the shortest time possible.

The following are 4 healthy breakfast ideas that can save you time when rushing to work early in the morning.

1 Fruit and yogurt parfait
Prepare your fruits ahead of time so that you don’t have to peel them in the morning. For example, you plan on taking mangoes, have them refrigerated. When you wake up in the morning, flavor them with vanilla flavored Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has lots of proteins compared to other yogurt brands. If you mix it with your fruit salad, it will help in kick-starting your day. This combination is also good for those who are building their muscles because of the high protein content.

2 Protein packed oatmeal with fruit
A great way of having a healthy breakfast is by having a warm bowl of oatmeal in the morning. But don’t have it plain, you can add some flavor to it by mixing it with vanilla or chocolate protein powder for a well balanced meal. For a burst of natural flavors, top it with fruits when you are using chocolate protein powder. I once tried this menu and it was just awesome and time saving as well.

3 Whole wheat bread with almond butter
You need energy for the rest of the day. I prefer to use whole wheat pastries for my breakfast. Not only are they highly loaded with fiber content, but they also keep you energetic all day long. Use almond

butter instead for your spread, mixed with pure honey for a tasty breakfast. Also you can add sweet bananas on the side. This combo is perfect, it leaves you satisfied and energetic until lunch time.

4 Power smoothie
Mix a cup of frozen fruit with milk, Greek yogurt and a scoop of protein powder. This is another source of protein and energy to keep you on the go on a hectic day.
