Q.1.A U of uniform cross section is partly filled with water.oil of relative density 0.85 poured into one arm untill the surface of the water in that arm is lowered by 6.How high is the oil column?

Q.2.10g bullet is fired at 100m/s into a block of wood of mass 0.99kg,hanging freely from a long string.The bullet remains embedded in it. Find the speed of the bullet and the block of wood immediately after collision.(5 marks)
Q.3.A vibrator produces 12 ripples per second with a wavelength of 1.5cm. Find the velocity of the waves.(5 marks)
Q.4.30g of sugar are put in a measuring cylinder.Paraffin of mass 56.4g and density 0.8gm3 is also put in the same measuring cylinder.The total volume of the mixture is 90.5cm3.Given that the paraffin does not dissolve the sugar;
Calculate:
a)the volume of the paraffin(2 marks)
