• Question one and two are compulsory.
• In question three choose only one of the optional set texts you have prepared on.
• Each of your essay must not exceed 450 words.
• All your answers must be written in the answer booklet provided.
This paper consists of 2 printed pages.

1. Imaginative Composition (Compulsory)
EITHER
(a) Write a composition illustrating the saying:

Using Henrik Ibsen’s An Enemy of the people for your illustrations, write an essay explaining

discovery.

Using the story Government by magic spell by Saida Hagi – Dirie Herzi for illustrations,
write a composition to show how Halima’s government is unfair to her citizens.
DRAMA: SHREDS OF TENDERNESS
(b) “Wak is wrongfully vilified by his stepbrother Odie.” Using Shreds of tenderness by John
Ruganda for your illustrations write a composition to justify the statement.
(c) The Novel: Homestretch: Velma Pollard.
With illustrations from Velma Pollard Homestretch, write an essay on how love can help
human beings overcome challenges.
