1. Imaginative composition (20mks)
Either
a) Write a composition ending with the following sentence.

Or
b) Write a story to illustrate the saying, “Life is not a bed of roses.”
2. Drama : “The Merchant of Venice” (20 mks)
“Pride comes before a fall” Discuss the saying using three characters from
William Shakespearre’s ‘The Merchant of Venice’
3. Optional set texts

a) Short stories

“What is expected to happen is not what happens”
Write an essay to justify the statement with reference to the ‘Martyr’ by Ngugi wa Thiong’o.

With reference to David Edith and Brenda. Write an essay on the expectation and
disppointements of immigrants.
c) Drama
Shreds of Tenderness- John Ruganda (20 mks)
The Odie we meet at the beginning of the play is not the Odie we meet at the end of the
