SECTION A- COMPULSORY SECTION

QUESTION ONE
Kobi Company is an enterprise that deals with computer software and hardware. It recently hired Mr.
Peter Likoko as the new Human Resource Manager. Mr. Omar Hari is the software development
manager and has been with the company for 10 years. His department (soft ware development) brings
into the company 75% of total income. The rest of the income is generated as follows; 15 %
computer repairs by service department, and 10 % is generated from sale of new computers by the
marketing department. Six Month into the Job, Mr Hari, the Computer Software Manager started
making claims to the Chief Executive Officer; Mr. Matumaini that Mr. Likoko was not providing
him with the Contingency staff on time and that was the reason he could not meet customer supply
deadlines. He made clams that Mr Likoko was not committed to his work and was involve most of
the time with consultancy work for other organizations. Mr. Hari enlisted support of the Supplies
Manager and Production Manager in his campaign to malign performance by Mr. Likoko’s repuation.
Mr Hari also used his expertise to delay mails for invitations to important meetings to Mr. Likoko,
causing him to miss the meetings. Mr. Likoko was perceived as uncommitted as a result of Mr. hari’s
behavioural activities.
