c) What is the major role of an electronic shopping cart in a commercial website? [3 Marks]
d) A business model is a method of doing business by which a company can generate revenue to
sustain itself. Such a model must define how the company adds value to create a product or service.
In this regard, explain any six components of a business model. [12 Marks]

a) An electronic market is a virtual or an online environment that allows individuals or firms to
conduct business electronically. Outline the three main functions of an electronic market.[3 Marks]
b) Market research is a key activity in ecommerce implementation aimed at finding out who are the
potential customers. Outline any five activities involved in conducting a market research.[5 Marks]
c) Describe any six ecommerce security issues that buyers and sellers should prepare to contend with.
