Professor Joseph Mukwakwa 46 years old, former managing director of
Mukwakwa Enterprises is now the Dean of the School of Management and
Business Enterprises at Riziki University.


He is a nationally, known labour expert and has spoken about the need to increase
scholarships. He devotes a great deal of time to lobbying the legislature and
raising funds.


You are Janet Ruiruti the chairlady of the Entrepreneurial Association of Riziki
University (EARU). EARU is the newest of the six students organizations in the
school of business and has 100 members. It was formed two years ago when the
department of management instituted a major in entrepreneurship. The purposes
of EARU are

To provide opportunities for members to learn more about

entrepreneurship, primarily through monthly meetings that feature quest

speakers.
(2)
To provide social interactions for future entrepreneurs.

To provide entrepreneurship as a major or minor course of study at the

university

To further the third purpose the association recently voted to institute a 700,000
shillings EARU scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of
merit to two business students majoring in entrepreneurship at the University.
Funds for the scholarship will be raised through entertainment and sale of various
items in the main lobby of the school of business building.

POOR QUALITY OF SLIDES FORM INVOICE 4073
The poor quality of the 13 colour slides you processed for me on November 8
made them unsuitable for use in my resent presentation to 200 marketing
representatives. As a result, I had to use black-and white transparencies instead.

The enclosed slide is typical of all 13 sides from this order. As you can see, the
colours often run together and the type is fuzzy. The slides are not equivalent in
quality to those illustrated in the colour advertisement on page 154 of the April
Business Management Magazine

I have already given the presentation for which these slides were made, so
redeveloping them would not solve the problem because I have not yet paid your
invoice 4073 for Ksh 260,000 dated November 15, would you please cancel this
charge? If you would like me to return the other 12 slides, I shall be happy to do
so.

I know that despite one’s best efforts, mistake will occasionally happen, and I am
confident that you will correct the problem promptly.
