How to make people buy goods that are not valuable in Kenya

There are many people in Kenya who sell goods every day and make a lot of profit from it. Only a hand-full of them actually sell important things. The rest sell items which might not that much important. So, how do they do it? How can you actually sell things in Kenya which your customers might not need that much? This is how you do it.

1) Make pack them or present them very well.
There are so many items especially sweets which are not that good but the packet in which they come in makes you so impressed that you just feel like buying them. This is a good way to sell low quality items. Make sure that all your goods look good and presentable in the way that you have presented them. This will make some people think that these goods are very important and of high quality even when they are not.

2) Sell them at a discount.
People like buying high quality goods. However, people in Kenya like being given things for free even more than they like high quality items. Therefore, if you know that you are selling useless things, sell two at the price of one or give a few others for free to all who buy your goods. I have seen this in so many shops in Kenya.

3) Accompany the less useful items with more useful things.
When any person in Kenya discovers that your goods are not that good, then they might never buy them. However, if you tie the useless goods to more valuable goods, then those who want the valuable goods would have to buy the useless goods in order to get the valuable goods. For example, I do not drink anything using a straw. Therefore, I

find straws to be very useless to me. However, whenever I buy some drinks in Kenya, those selling these drinks pack them jointly to straws which ate not for free forcing me to buy the straws only to throw them away after unpacking the drinks.

All in all, you need to sell something and if you have nothing important to sell, then you need to find out ways to sell what you have in Kenya.
