The best ways of punishing students caught doing wrongful acts

In some schools in Kenya, the cases of breaking the school rules are on the rise because of so many reasons. However, the main reason why there are so many cases of breaking the school rules is simply because the students do not get punished accordingly for wrongful acts. This might be because the teachers do not want to punish the students or do not know the right way to punish students. Sincerely speaking, school is not all about punishing students. However, if the students who are caught doing the wrong thing at school are not punished, then they might end up repeating the same mistake again. Therefore, teachers need to know the right ways of punishing the students caught doing the wrong thing. The following is how you punish such students.

1) Try calling their parents.
There are some parents who do not care about their children, but not all of them are like this. Some parents care a lot about their children and will do whatever it takes to make their children’s lives better, even if it means punishing them. The good thing about parents is that they understand their children better than anyone else, at least most of them do. Therefore, a parent usually knows best what to do in order to discipline his or her child. Therefore, calling the parents of the students who are caught doing something wrong in school and telling their parents what these students have done wrong is sometimes a very good form of punishment that will ensure that the student will not break the school rules again.

2) Taking their free time away from them.
One of the most fun parts of school life is the free time that we are given by the school as students. For

this reason, if you withdraw students’ free time from them for something wrong that they had done, then they might never repeat whatever made their free to be taken from them ever again. Therefore, this can be the perfect punishment for the students who break the school rules. However, if this free time is also the time when they get to eat, then do not deny them their right to eat.

3) Giving them more work than the other students.
The most stressful thing about school life is the huge amounts of work that come with it. Therefore, most students try as much as they can to avoid any extra work at school. Giving the students work because of something wrong which they had done would make them avoid ever doing that particular wrong thing ever again and might also stop them from ever breaking any other school rule ever again.

It is very important for students to be taught that they will be punished for the wrong things that they ever do. This will not only make them responsible people in future but will also stop them from doing wrongful acts ever again at school.
