a. Read the excerpt below and answer the questions thereafter.

Mr. Ocholla is a successful business man who runs a medium sized production plant in
Nairobi. He attributes part of his success to the way he interacts freely with his employees
to most subordinates. The employees feel so free with him that they can go to his office any
time for any communication and at times bypass their immediate supervisors.

Describe the method of communication used by Mr. Ocholla.

b. Explain why as a manager, you would at times use committees in making decisions in your
organization.
