QUESTION ONE
a) (i) Convert 66ft/s to miles per hour. [2 Marks]
(ii) The speed of light is 299, 792,458 m/s or 3 X 108 m/s. How many miles per hour is this?

b) Use dimensional analysis to answer the following:
(i) Determine the dimensions and units of the following quantities: Volume, peed,

f) Train A and B are heading toward each other. Train A moves at 21 m/s and the driver toots his
horn. The horn sounds at 650 Hz. How fast should B be moving so that its driver hears the
horn at 750 Hz? Assume the speed of sound is 343 m/s. [6 Marks]
