1. A body of mass 16kg is pulled along a smooth horizontal table by a constant force. It describes 18m from rest in 3 seconds. Find the magnitude of this force

2. A body of mass 25kg is acted upon by a constant force for which in 10 seconds gives it a velocity of 75m/s. What is the magnitude of this force?

3. A block of mass 3kg is moving along a horizontal smooth surface with a velocity of V at time t=0. A force of 32.7N is applied against the direction of motion. The force shows to half the original velocity while it notes through 9m

4. An engine exerts a uniform force of 19620 N on a train 100tons where its resistance is 62N per ton. Find the time required to get up a velocity of 30m.p.h from rest

5. An engine of mass 120 tons is coupled to and pulls a carriage of 80 tons. The resistance to the motion of the engine is 1/80 of its weight and that of the carriage is 1/100 of its weight. Find the tension in the coupling (union) if the whole tractive force exerted by the engine be equal to the weight of 12,152lbs (1kg=2.205lb)

6. A body moves up a smooth inclined plane starting with a velocity of 48ft/s. If the plane is inclined at 30 degrees, find the velocity of the body when it has moved 64ft from the starting
