1. Mention and briefly explain four distinctions between growth and development.

2. Give three methods that the Japanese and Chinese used in training their children that parents
should emulate. (3mks)
3. Explain how the sex of the foetus is determined. (3mks)
4. If an ovum implants itself in an area other than the uterus, what kind of pregnancy occurs?
Explain what other areas the implantation can take place and the danger of such a pregnancy.

5. What are the fontanels and what two functions do they serve? (3mks)
6. Mention three factors that necessitate a caesarean delivery. (3mks)
7. Mention three benefits of regular exercise for adults. (3mks)
