a) Information can be argued as one of the factor of production. Discuss clearly the meaning
of this statement. (15 marks)
b) Describe a digital computer and cite three advantages over an
analogue computer. (10 marks)

a) First-generation languages are machine dependent while third-generation languages are
machine independent. Discuss (15 marks)
b) Discuss the five factors that influence the methods used in capturing data into a computer
system. (10 marks)

QUESTION 3
a) Compare two input devices of human processing system to two input devices of
computer systems. (8 marks)
b) Why are fourth Generation Languages considered to be very high level languages?
Discuss. (7 marks)
c) Computer systems are made up of many subsystems; two of these are transaction
processing systems and office automation systems. Explain these systems. (10 marks)
