(c) An X-ray tube operating at a potential difference of 50 kV has a tube current of 20mA. Calculate:

[ii] The number of electrons hitting the target per second. [2mks]

[iii] The velocity of the electrons when they hit the target. [3mks]

10 Explain the propagation of sound with reference to compression and rarefaction. [2mks]
