1. a. The organizers of a conference have slotted Musemi to speak for 2 hours on a hot afternoon. The audience is made up of senior citizens who have been listening to various speakers since morning. Explain the challenge facing Musemi and suggest how he can surmount it. (15 marks)
b. Another challenge that a speaker may come across is indifference. What causes this challenge and how might a speaker overcome it? (10 marks)

2. A colleague of yours is not an ethical public speaker
i. Explain the characteristics that made you draw this conclusion (8 marks)
ii. Show why it is important for your colleague to change (7 marks)

3. As a person who has read a lot about security matters you have been invited by the county security committee to speak on a topic of your choice on the general area of security. Choose a particular topic and write a problem-solution outline for it. (15 marks)
