1. Cheptoo was hired for 8 hours a day from Monday to Friday and 5 hours on Saturday. She was paid Sh. 5,850 per week. Cheptoo now works 10 hours a day from Monday to Friday and she is free on Saturday. What is her weekly pay if she is paid at the same rate per hour as before?

2. Muya earns Sh. 5,400 after working for 24 days. How much money should he receive if he is absent for 6 days?

3. A factory hires 12 workers to complete a piece of work in 5 hours. If 2 of the workers do not turn up, how long will it take to complete the work?

4. To complete a project in 48 days, a construction company requires 12 employees. How many more employees would the company require if the project is to be completed in 36 days?

5. It takes eight people 10 days to make 40 sweaters. How many more days would it take 5 people to make the same number of sweaters if they are working at the same rate?

6. 12 men can fill a cattle dip in 5 days. How many more men will be required to fill the cattle dip in 3 days?

7. 12 men can do a piece of work in 20 days. How many more men are required to finish the same work in 8 days?

8. Ten identical taps can fill a tank of water in 8 minutes. How many more taps would be needed to fill the same tap in 5 minutes?

9. Six taps can take 5 hours to fill a tank with water. How much longer will 4 similar taps take to fill the tank?

10. A contractor hired five people to complete a job in 6 days. Two of the workers did not turn up for the job. How many more days were needed to complete the job?
