Explain NINE principles that should be observed in the classification of books in a library justifying each of them.
b)
Distinguish between descriptive cataloging and subject cataloging clearly showing the role played by each.
SECTION B
Using the AACR2, Sears list of subject headings, and the Dewey decimal classification scheme 19th, 21st or 22nd edition, and following the second level of description, prepare main catalogue entries with the necessary notes and tracings for a divided dictionary catalogue, and assign CLASS NUMBERS to the titles whose details are given below in questions 2 and 3.
