SECTION ONE 30 marks

Explain three guidelines provided by Wright guidelines provided by Wright (1960) on how to write anecdotal report. (3 marks)

Clarizio Yelon (1967) gave many reasons why punishment should be avoided as a means of changing undesirable behaviour state any four of such reasons. (4 marks)

You are invited by a school principal to address guidance and counselling teachers on how to come up with an effective programme in behaviour change in their High school students. Prepare a talk using the following headings:

Identification of conditions of intervention

The major purpose of behaviour modification is to increase occurrence of acceptable behaviour. Illustrate how you would use “shaping”, “modelling” and “token economy” with children who have mental disabilities. (20 marks)

Learners in Thika Rehabilitation centre have serious undesirable behaviour and you have been posted there as a senior teacher to enable the centre to operate. Draw a detailed training program for controlling each of the following behaviours in your learners.

truancy
(d)
throwing stones to passing vehicles.

Describe possible preventive measures you would give to parents in order to prevent behaviour problems in their children during prenatal and postnatal periods. (20 marks)
