Briefly describe THREE characteristics for each of the following approaches to the teaching of literature in English.

Explain the procedure to use when teaching Form Two students to write own poems. [6 marks]
(c)
State THREE reasons why the Kenyan curriculum developer adopted the integrated approach to teaching English language and Literature. [6 marks]
(d)
Explain any SIX most appropriate methods that you may use in teaching any genre of oral literature. [6 marks]
(e)
Describe how literary skills can be integrated in the teaching of intensive and extensive reading skills in lower secondary school. [6 marks]
