A researcher finds that on average 20% at households in a given area of study live below the poverty line.
If 8 households are selected at random from the area, find the probability that:-
(a)
Exactly 2 households live below the poverty line.
(b)
2 or more households live below the poverty line.
(c)
Less than 2 live below the poverty line.
(ii )
Of a group of patients who complained they did not sleep well, some were given sleeping pills while others were given sugar pills, (although they all thought were getting sleeping pills). They were later asked whether the pills helped them or not.
