Study the following passage and then answer the questions in (a) and (b).

When we received the invitation card to attend Rachel?s birthday, we were thrilled. What made it even more exciting was that my cousins who had come all the way from Ulumbi for their April holiday were also invited to the party. We asked for permission from our parents early enough and we looked forward to Saturday, the day of the party. That day we put on our best clothes and off we went to Mariakani where Rachel?s family lived.

Identify and write down the following:

Write sentences using each auxiliary verb you listed in (ii) above in two distinct ways.

Write a total of 10 sentences distributed as follows:

Four sentences, each using a different coordinating conjunction and underline the conjunction.
(ii)
Two sentences, each with different correlative conjunctions. Then underline the conjunctions.
(iii)
Four sentences, each with a different subordinating conjunction. Underline the conjunction in each sentences.

Rewrite the phrases underlined in the following sentences and then state the function of each in the sentence in which occurs. (20 marks)
