1. A cylindrical tank has internal measurements of height 2 m and diameter 2.8 m. What is the capacity of the tank in litres?

2. A rectangular container measures 50 cm by 60 cm by 80 cm. How many decilitres of water does it hold when full?

3. A rectangular container whose base measures 70 cm by 60 cm by 35 cm high. If the container is filled with water to a height of 22 cm, what is the volume of the remaining empty space?

4. A shopkeeper bought 10 cartons of milk. A carton had 72 packets of milk each of 500 ml. How many litres of milk were bought by the shopkeeper?

5. A rectangular tank was filled with 6,000 litres of water. The base area of the tank is 30,000 square centimetres. What is the height of the tank in metres?

6. A circular tank of radius 1.4 m and height 2 m is full of water. How much water in litres is in the tank?
(Take pie = 22/7)

7. A rectangular water tank is 6 m long, 4 m wide and 3 m high. How many litres of water does the tank hold when full?

8. A family consumes 6 litres of milk every day. How many litres of milk altogether did the family consume in the months of March, April and May?

9. Twenty-four five decilitre packets of milk were emptied in a 50 litre container. How many more such packets of milk were needed to fill the container?

10. A cylinder has a volume of 550 cubic centimetres. If the height of the cylinder is 7 cm, what is the diameter?

11. A cylindrical tank of diameter 1.4 m and a height of 1.6 m is 3/4 full of water. How many more litres are needed to fill it?
