1. Oduor invested a certain amount of money in a business that paid interest at the rate of 15% per annum. At the end of nine months he withdrew sh. 1125, which was the interest the money had earned. How much money had he invested?

2. Asha deposited sh. 4,800 in a bank which paid interest at the rate of 12% per annum. How much did she have in the bank after six months?

3. Wanjiru deposited a certain amount of money in a bank which paid simple interest at a rate of 15% per annum. At the end of 9 months, she withdrew all the interest amounting to sh. 360. How much money had she deposited?

4. Mwangi took a loan of sh. 25,000. After 24 months he paid sh. 30,000. If this amount included simple interest, at what rate per annum was the interest charged?

5. A businessman deposited sh. 8,000 in a bank which paid interest at the rate of 12% per annum. He withdrew the whole amount deposited and the interest earned at the end of 9 months. How much money did he withdraw?

6. Ali lent Juma sh. 4,000 to start a business. After 8 months, Juma gave Ali sh. 4,800 as a refund of the money he had borrowed plus the interest earned. At what rate in percentage per annum did Ali''s money earn the interest?

11. Oganda has sh. 2,500 in a savings bank. The bank gave interest at the rate of 12% per annum. After nine months he withdraw all his money from the bank. How much did he withdraw?

12. A bank charged interest at the rate of 10% per annum. Omolo borrowed sh. 2,400 from this bank and repaid the loan at end of 9 months. How much money did he pay?
