a) Briefly discuss the O-ring theory of economic development and its application to
income inequality in Kenya. [14 marks]
b) List any six determinants of poverty in Kenya that you know. [6 marks]

a) Compare and contrast the Keynesian and Classical models of economic growth.

b) Briefly explain the application of each to the study of a developing country.

QUESTION FOUR
a) With the aid of a well-labeled diagram, discuss the process of economic growth as
explained by Lewis’ theory of economic growth. [12 marks]
b) Briefly discuss any two micro and two macro strategies of economic

development policy makers. Why do you think is the case? Explain in detail.
