SECTION A
1. "Counsellors dealing with children may not deal with them as they would counsel adults." Discuss this statement in view of setting goals when counselling children.

2. The child-counsellor relationship is very important component in counselling children. Discuss this statement with help of concrete examples.

3. With concrete examples explain the attributes of a child counsellor.

4. With concrete examples explain how to use the observation and active listening skills in counselling children.

5. What is adolescence? Discuss the biological and cognitive challenges adolescents go through.

6. If childhood experiences are not resolved they may interfere with a young person's ability to deal adaptively with adolescence tasks. Discuss this statement in reference to early attachment problems, effects of abuse and effects of trauma.

7. What is metaphor? Discuss the value of using a metaphor and the ways of using it in counselling the adolescents.

8. Art and Role Play are two creative strategies that can be used in counselling the adolescents. Discuss the two concepts and how they can be used.
