Preparation for hard times in Kenya

In Kenya, there are so many different seasons, the cold season, the rainy season and even the hot season. Even so, these are not the only types of seasons that we have in Kenya, there are various seasons that are linked to money.
The few examples that I will give of such seasons are the times when there are no jobs, times when food is very cheap, times when there are plenty of opportunities to make money and many more. I have mixed both good and bad seasons.
However, I want to concentrate more on the tough times. These include times of joblessness, high prices of items, no money making opportunities and many more. These times can be very hard for someone who is not prepared. So let me take you through the preparation for these financially hard times.

1) Always be ready for the hard times.
There are so many people in Kenya who get good jobs each day. However, some of these people like to enjoy everything that they make from their jobs without considering some of the things which might happen in the future.
What if you get fired and find that there are no jobs out there? You should not only celebrate the good times, but you must also never forget that the world keeps changing every day, and your financial state can change any day. So, are you ready for the tough times?

2) Save a small percentage of your earnings.
Do not just eat all the food that your money can buy, save a little for the tough times. The little should not be too negligible, let it be at least five percent and above of all your monthly earnings.
Make sure that you never spend even a cent of the money you save, not until the hard times

come when you are completely broke and have no way of making any money. That is when you can now use your savings.

3) Make friends.
I know that you might think having many friends just for the sake of money is very pathetic, but actually it is not. Not all your friends might be there for you when you have no money, but there might be a few of them who actually care about you to help you when you need financial help.
Therefore, make many friends when you have money, so that maybe when the time comes when you have no cash and no food, maybe they might help you. However, it is not a definite method to prepare for the tough times.

These are the three main ways to avoid being too negatively affected by the times when you do not have a lot of money in Kenya. I have tried them, and for sure, I can testify that they work very perfectly. Try them from today.
