QUESTION 1: Compulsory- 30 marks
Owing to the political uprisings in Somalia, Ibrahim, a Somali man, in 2010, fled to Kenya to seek asylum. After settling in Kenya, he applied for Kenyan citizenship and it was granted. Ibrahim started conducting business and after his business started flourishing, he wanted to bring his wife, Kadiatou and his two teenage daughters from Somalia into Kenya. However, the Kenyan authorities have refused the entry of his family to Kenya alleging that Ibrahim has been associating with som Kenyan citizens who would like to overthrow the Kenyan government.
As an expert in the Law of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons, what legal advice would you give to Ibrahim? (30 marks)
