Question One
Discuss under what circumstances the use of a hidden camera would be justified in investigative journalism and when it would not be justified. (30 marks)

Question Two

Discuss the ethical problems connected with naming or not naming in news stories of people accused but not convicted of sexual offences.

(10 Marks)

Victims of rape are not normally identified by name in news stories. Should those accused of rape enjoy the same protection? Give reasons for your answer.

"In cases involving personal grief or shock, inquiries should be made with sensitivity and discretion." Discuss this statement, giving examples. (20 Marks)

"Journalists should not use financial information they receive in advance for their own benefit and should not pass the information to others." Discuss, giving examples. (20 marks)

"Journalists should generally identify themselves and not obtain or seek to obtain information or pictures through misrepresentation of subterfuge." Discuss.
