QUESTION ONE (30 MARKS)
(a) Define the following terms briefly

iii) Homologoumena (3mks)
(b) What considerations did the early church Fathers use to ensure that the 27 New Testament
books were indeed the inspired Word of God (10 mks)
(c) The four Gospel accounts give us the complete picture of who Jesus Christ is, as portrayed
in Ezekiel 1:10 and Rev. 4:7. Discuss (8 mks)
(d) John 20:30-31 states the purpose for which John’s gospel was written. Explain how that theme
is developed throughout the entire gospel. (9 mks)

are facing a myriad of socio-political and religions challenges today? (6 mks)

(a) Explain the major tenets or doctrines held by the Judaizers and Judaism religion as taught in
the New Testament. (4 mks)
(b) Explain any 8 major practical and spiritual lessons that you can draw from the epistle of
James and that of the Pastoral Epistles. (16 mks)

(a) What evidences are there to show that Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead? (7 mks)
(b) The General or non-Pauline Epistles are placed at the end of the New Testament because they
were debated for over 350 years. Why were each of the following: Hebrews, James, 2 Peter, 2
John, 3 John, Jude and Revelation debated before being accepted into the Canon as the inspired
word of God? (7 mks)
(c) Describe the nature of the false teachers in the New Testament. Give reference of the book
where each is found. (7 mks)

(a) Compare and contrast the Old and the New Testaments. (6 mks)
(b) What solutions did Apostle Paul offer in response to each of the Corinthian problems? (14 mks)
