SECTION A
Answer ALL Questions

1. Identify and briefly explain problems of Documentary Hypothesis regarding the
authorship of Pentateuch. [5 marks]

2. Briefly explain what the phrase, “everyone did what was right in his own eyes”
and identify at least five major sins which illustrate explain the phrase as recorded
in Judges 21:25 [5 marks]

3. Identify and explain the five types of Old Testament offerings. [10 marks]

4. The youth of today abuse alcohol and it is a major concern.
(a) Discuss the possible effects of alcohol [05 marks]
(b) Explain the Biblical position regarding alcohol. Base your answer on the book
Proverbs [05 marks]
5. “First and second Chronicles are clear repetitions of first and second Kings.” A

SECTION B

Answer TWO Questions Only

6. God gave Israel laws and regulations to govern them in Canaan. Select and explain
at least five major laws as it relates to Israel and the people of Canaan in Exodus
20:1-6 and Deuteronomy chapter 7:1-16. [15 marks]

7. Assess whether Israel failed or successes in keeping God’s law from the time of
their settlement in Canaan to both Assyrian and Babylonian captivities.[15 marks]

8. Compare Kenya’s current socio-economic and spiritual conditions to that of Israel
during their settlement in Canaan and before Assyrian and Babylonian captivities.
