Software delights ltd is an organization that develops special software used in the entertainment industry. They have recently commissioned you to assist them in re-mapping their strategy due to increasing competition and changes in the software development industry as a whole.

The first thing you do is to perform a SWOT analysis. You discover the following from the analysis:
Strengths: the company well known in the international arena (0.2) (R3.5); good vertical integration (0.15)(R2.8); experienced software engineers(R4.5). Weaknesses: process-oriented R& D (0.1)(R3); poor distribution channel (0.2)(R4); poor employee relations(0.25)(R3.2)
a) Generate an IFAS table using the above information. The ratings are denoted as R and given on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being strongest. (15marks)
b) From your table identify two key strengths and two key weaknesses that you have identified. In which table would you use these four factors? (5marks)

You have also identified the following from your analysis: Opportunities: entertainment industry growing fast in Africa (0.2) (R3.5); economic development of East Africa (0.15) (R4); economic integration of Europe (R4.5) Threats: pirated software (0.25) (R4); new product advances (0.14) (R3); increasing government regulations (0.05) (R1.5)
