SECTION A
1. Illustrate the “Rostow’s Stages of growth Theory” and provide a critism. [ 5 marks]
2. Discuss the causes of growth and development. [ 5 marks]
3. Describe any three social and economic indicators of development. [ 5 marks]
4. Using relevant examples Differentiate between the following concept “Economic
Growth” and “Economic Development”. [ 5 marks]
5. Discuss the rational of local participation in extension programme planning. [5 marks]

7. Discuss three reasons why extension programme should have a strong-in- built

9. a) Discuss the role of agriculture in rural development. [ 8 marks]

process. [ 15 marks]

12. a) Describe the theory of diffusion in the adoption of agricultural innovations and give the factors that influence the rate and the ultimate percentage of farmers who adopt the innovation.
