In Kenyatta University with a population of 4000 students, there were 100 cases
of cholera and 50 deaths due to the same in 2007. Calculate the following; (assume k = 100)
i. The case fatality rate in 2007. [2 marks]
ii. The cause specific death rate in 2007. [2 marks]
iii. the prevalence rate of cholera in 2007. [2 marks]
iv. If the total number of people who had cholera in KU by February 2008
was 150, calculate the incidence rate of cholera by February of 2008.

You have been contracted by an NGO to carry out a population screening exercise
for TB in a given community. Discuss the steps you would apply in screening to
come up with the number of persons infected with TB in the said community.
