In order to align itself and in responding to the emerging needs of the world of work Laikipia University has opened its doors for Technical Vocational Training {TVET} programs. One of the most important features of TVET is orientation towards the world of work and acquisition of relevant skills. TVET institutions are well placed in training skilled and entrepreneurial workforce that Kenya needs to implement the Big Four Agenda, create wealth and attain Vision 2030.

In line with the government of Kenya’s Medium -Term Plan III, Laikipia University has recognized Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as an important vehicle for the country’s development. This is premised on the realization that there is a growing demand for technicians, technologists and diploma graduates in technical training.

The Technical and Vocational Training Authority has approved Laikipia University Technical Vocational Training Institute as a Registered and Licensed Institute offering both Diploma and Certificate courses under section 20 (1) of the TVET Act, 2013. Laikipia University is now a fully accredited training TVET Institute. Applications and registration of government and private sponsored students is currently ongoing.

b) A Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education with an average grade C- (C minus) and any other certificate relevant to the field. OR
