1. Define the following terms:

2. Citing relevant examples differentiate a pesticide trade name from a chemical name.

3. Briefly classify pesticides on basis of the active ingredient.

4. Briefly explain the properties of organochlorides.

5. Define a bio-pesticide. List a number of bio-pesticide that are now readily available in the Kenyan Market.

6. Outline the ecological effects of herbicides.

7. Briefly describe the three factors promoting insecticides resistance in insects.

8. Outline the properties of an ideal pesticide from a user point of view.
