1. (a) Draw the border line and a title block.
(10 marks)
(b) Draw a parabola of focal length 10 up to the perpendicular length of 50 from the directrix.

(c) A piece of wire is bent into the form of a parabola. It fits into a rectangle which has a base length of 125 mm and a height of 100 mm. The open ends of the wire are 125 mm apart. By means of a single line, show the true shape of the wire.

2. Draw an eclipse of 1440 mm long and 720 mm wide. Using a scale of 1/2 , draw a true elliptical shape of the pond.
(20 marks)
3. The major and minor arcs of an eclipse are 150 mm and 70 mm respectively. Construct an eclipse using:
a) Auxiliary circles
b) Rectangle method
(20 marks)
4. Draw the following projection in third angle. Add six dimensions to every orthographic projection.
i) The front elevation
ii) The end elevation
iii) The plan
