(b) “Adolescence is a universal concept”. Agree or disagree and support your answer
with relevant examples. [20 Marks]
(c) With the aid of a diagram, elaborate on Hill’s ABC X theory of family stress.

(d) Appropriately apply Hills ABC Theory of family stress. [3 Marks]
(e) With examples, discuss at least six specific transitions in life and their own
adjustments. [3 Marks]

6. As a concept “adolescence has evolved with its biological, social, and psychological implications, but its most consequential evolution has occurred in adult perception of the norms and behavior of young people”. Discuss. [20 Marks]
7. (i) With illustrations, discuss peer cultures resulting from schooling and age
grading in the early 1930’s. [15 Marks]
(ii) Do a comparison between cultures resulting from schooling and Age Grading of
the 1930’s to Kenyan adolescents in school today.
8. The story below was retrieved from “you tube”. Use the content to answer the questions that follow.
“Tomokawa is a tough guy turned bored cop who spends much of his time saling lonely housewives and looking after retarded teen sukomasa. One day while hanging out at a base, he is approached by a 15 year old enyo konsai named Yoko, offering a round of illicit sex in exchange for cash. Though he demurs, their paths cross again and soon a relationship of some sort forms.
