(d) Trace evolution of cellular technology from first generation to 4th generation. [5 Marks]

(c) Apart form the increased bandwidth what other benefits was brought by the following technologies to the existing cellular networks. [6 Marks]

(i) GPRS
(ii) 3G

(d) Given that the effective, line of sight is given as d=3.57v(Kh,) calculate the maximum distance between tow antennas for LOS transmission if one antenna is 100m high and the other is at ground level, as a rule of thumb k = 4/3.
Briefly explain what k represents in the above problem. [4 Marks]

(b) Compare and contrast between Bluetooth and WIFI. [4 Marks]

(c) Differentiate between the first generation and second generation cellular networks. [4 Marks]
