1. a). Differentiate between expository and discovery approaches of teaching giving three examples in each case. (8 Marks)

b). Define each of the following terms as used in instruction:
i. Deductive teaching. (2 Marks)

ii. Heuristic teaching strategies. (2 Marks)

c). A lesson is seen as a system. Discuss the components of a lesson that makes it a system. (10 Marks)

d). Discuss the importance of instructional objectives in teaching. (4 Marks)

e). According to systems theory, a school is regarded as an " open system ." Explains. (4 Marks)

a). According to Blooms Taxonomy, instructional objectives can be classified into three domains. Discuss each of these three domains and give an example of an objective from each domain. (9 Marks)

b). Briefly describe the contents of a syllabus for a teaching subject. (4 Marks)

c). A typical lesson plan is structured into three main phases detailing what will be done during the lesson. Write a lesson plan for teaching a single lesson from any of your teaching subject (s)
